"Here, honey." She gave the kid his candy. "But don't eat too many of them,
okay? It's not healthy. Just one a day."
He smiled at her charmingly, one front tooth missing, candy cigarette
dangling from his lips. She laughed and ruffled his hair.
"And don't fight with Alex, okay?"
The kid pouted. "He keeps pushing me."
"I know, honey." She leaned down and hugged him. "It's all your adult
memories. But I told him to stop, and you both apologised, so I don't think
he'll push you again, okay?"
He beamed. "Okay!"
He ran off to play with some of the other kids. Namely Lionel Luthor. Mary
Sue found that somewhat disturbing.
