Hello, and welcome to the
Better Living through Trek Stories archive, where Infinite Diversity is practiced
in Infinite Combinations.
From here you may choose to either:
enter the archive (text or
graphics intensive) directly
choose/find an author from the index below
use our search engine to (hopefully) find just what you are looking for
or
join our mailing list:
For those who might need a word of explanation:
What does IDIC mean exactly as far as the archive (and list) is concerned?
It means stories from every Trek, from TOS to Enterprise and, yes, even the
Animated show. The movies. The books. From wherever the author's
fevered imaginings care to take us.
It also means not only every Trek, but every conceivable pairing as well. It
means slash (same-sex or homosexual pairings -- Paris/Kim from Voyager,
for example). It means het (opposite sex pairings -- Riker/Troi from TNG, for
another example). It means multiples (Janeway/Paris/Chakotay from Voyager
as an example). It even means pairings one might have never have even
thought of -- Janeway/Kira, anyone? JadziaDax/Dukat?
Weyoun/Chakotay?
It also means almost every type of sexual and/or romantic situation one can
conceive of, from light-hearted, shmoopy romance to rape to whips and chains.
It means vanilla. It means chocolate. It even means buttered pecan with an
Ensign or two on top.
See? Infinite Diversity. Infinite Combinations. Lovely, isn't it? But not, we
realize, to everyone's taste. That's why every story in the archive is
coded not only as to the Trekverse in which it is set and which pairing/pairings
are involved, but with other codes as well, codes indicating everything from CD
(character death) to specialized sexual situations (BDSM, for example).
If you are, however, at all uncertain as to what any or all of these codes
mean, then may I suggest reading the ASC/EM
FAQ) (opens in a new window) first so as to (hopefully) avoid any
unpleasant or unwelcome surprises? Because while we don't want to
scare/upset anyone, we also don't want to hear any complaints. To be
here, to read the stories one is assumed to be an adult and therefore
everyone is asked to act like one. In other words -- If you don't like
something, don't read it.
Obligatory disclaimers and caveats.
While every effort is made to keep the archive up-to-date, e-mail addresses
are not guaranteed.
All stories are archived/linked here with permission from the authors. If you do
not remember giving permission, please contact
me.
Older stories from the original BLTS archive, otherwise known as
R'rain's, can also be found here. In those cases, author's last
names are generally not used or have been added under anonymous.
And lastly -- Star Trek does not belong to me. It does not belong to the
authors. It belongs to everyone as a perfect example of fan-driven mythology.
Paramount, however, does hold the copyright.
