Bareil.  The memories crowded her mind as she waited.  The passion that
had engendered an incredible friendship without ever cooling.  The long
conversations, debates over what the Prophets really wanted them to do.
Memories of his lean body setting her own on fire countless times over
the years.  The long years underground; and the time afterward, when the
Cardassians had gone.  They had had so short a time.  It seemed like
she'd blinked and it was over.

A flash of light caught her eye.  The wormhole...the Celestial Temple...
was opening.  Bareil was in the hands of the Prophets now.

Nerys wept.
