The BLTS Archive- Transfers by Laura Jacquez Valentine (jacquez@dementia.org) --- Notes: A while back, I said I could slash anything, and Karmen asked for Spock/Sulu. So, I wrote this explicit little S/Su number, but it was a PWP, and hell, of course if you're going to PWP it, you can slash anything. No challenge there. So I went looking for moments of slashability, and finally found one that I liked, and wrote this tiny little thing around it.I'm perverse, I know. for Karmen --- He transferred to the helm out of desperation. It introduced a layer of insulation from those subtle hands, but not from the memory of a night on Earth when those long fingers had gripped his hips and held him still. They'd met at Starfleet Headquarters, in the officer's lounge; he'd flirted and the tall Vulcan had raised an eyebrow--and said "I have quarters here." That had been all, but it was enough; those strong cruel hands and that lean body and that inhumanly hot mouth had done the rest, seducing Sulu into shamelessness. Impossible to be shamed with a Vulcan lover, he'd heard, and it was true: the Vulcan had played his body as if it were an old friend. Sulu remembered the sound of his own voice, broken with desire, begging, begging, and the heat of Spock's mouth--though he hadn't known it was Spock at the time, having not even asked for a name. That they were both assigned to the Enterprise had been a surprise he'd only discovered after coming aboard. As a staff physicist, he'd had to bear the casual proximity of Spock's body, the deep burn of black eyes on his skin--and he couldn't, he couldn't bear it and not want it again. The dreams came then, dreams from which he woke damp with sweat and sticky with semen. So he transferred to the helm, where Spock could not touch him, where Spock rarely had an excuse to look at him, where he could ignore the dark sense he imagined he had of Spock's presence, behind him and to the right. And it was at the helm he learned a new torment, seated in a triangle with Spock's closest friend and with Spock's student--the student who was also Spock's beloved, a Russian with a sharp tongue and sulky eyes. Sulu could not decide if he envied Chekov for having Spock, or Spock for having Chekov, but he knew when he was beaten, when it was best to let go of his body's desires and his heart's secret wishes. He married a few months later--and it was love, it truly was, but sometimes in the dark he would remember subtle hands. -- The End
