"Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!" Uhura screamed.

"Push, child, push! You are almost there." The midwife encouraged her.
"I can see the head, just one more time. Come on, you can do it! Yes!"

The midwife lifted the baby, wiped it clean, wrapped it in and gave it
to her. "You have got a beautiful daughter."

The moment the girl came to rest on Uhura's chest, glorious joy
overflowed her. She was perfect. Uhura traced the outline of her face
with her fingers. Slowly the girl's eyes came open. Her eyelids
fluttered, then she focused her gaze upon her mother and...raised a
Vulcan eyebrow.
