Isn't it so much easier now? Not having to worry about how someone
else is feeling. Not having a gaping hole in your stomach whenever
they're in danger.

It's glorious some nights. You can choose to remember what you want to
remember, so all I think of is the laughter, the flirting. You're not
beside me so there's nothing there to remind me of everything that was
wrong with us.

I see you in the mess hall with her, laughing. You're far happier with
her than you ever were with me.

Wasn't leaving me the best thing you've ever done?
