The aliens had restrained him, thoroughly and efficiently, and the gag in his mouth prevented any coherent speech. Not that either of them seemed inclined to converse with him. They stood on each side of his narrow hospital bed, two members of a species he couldn't identify, prodding and poking at his naked body to no purpose that he could see. He had no idea how long they'd been at it. The one stroking him froze at his groan, and looked across his body at the other. "Why is he making that sound?" the man asked. The second alien, who seemed to be a woman, scanned him with his own medical tricorder. "I don't know," she said at last. "He hasn't made any sound before now." She looked at the first alien's hand, still holding Julian's penis in a loose grip. "Maybe you're hurting him. Some species don't like to have their sexual organs touched." The first alien let go with alacrity. "That's a sexual organ?" he said, disbelief clear in his tone. "What in Bel's name does he do with it?" "Most species with this configuration insert it into a partner's orifice," the woman said. She sounded impatient. "Which you would know if you'd bothered to do your assigned reading." The scales on both sides of the alien man's crest flared briefly and subsided with a gentle flutter. Julian couldn't tell whether that denoted embarrassment or anger at the rebuke. He didn't have long to ponder the question. A door opened and another alien woman rushed in. "Dr. Takkadet, you're needed in surgery right away," the newcomer said. The first woman handed Julian's tricorder to her male colleague. "Do what you can," she said as she hurried out. "And be careful. I don't want him to end up like the last one." Julian didn't care for the sound of that at all. He tried to get up, but the restraints made it impossible for him to move more than a few inches in any direction. His limited thrashing accomplished one thing only. It drew the attention of the two aliens. The new woman approached the bed hesitantly and looked down at him. "What is he?" she asked the man. "I don't know," he admitted. "One of the mining robots found him. There's nothing in the computer about his species." "He's shaped a little like us," she said. "Except for *that*. What is that?" "That's his sexual organ," the man said. He smiled when the scales on the woman's crest rose and fluttered wildly. "What does he do with it?" she asked in amazement. "This is not happening," Julian thought. "It is absolutely not possible that this is happening." His denial fled when the man picked up his penis again. "He inserts it into a partner's orifice," the man said. "Like this one under here." Someone's hand reached between Julian's legs and felt his anus. A tentative finger pushed in, and he clenched his muscles reflexively. The finger withdrew. The woman looked down at him and then back up at the alien man. "That seems awfully small," she said dubiously. "Maybe it opens up," the man said. "When...you know." "Maybe," she said. She glanced back towards the door for a moment. "Can I touch it?" she asked. "Sure," the man said magnanimously. "Just be careful. He made a sound earlier." The woman ran her fingers down Julian, tentatively at first and then with increasing boldness. She smiled at the man. "The skin is so soft," she said. "Not happening," Julian thought desperately. "Not happening, not happening, not... oh, shit." The woman let out a startled cry and jerked her hand back. "It's getting bigger!" she exclaimed. "Did I break it?" "I don't know," the man said, sounding thoroughly unnerved. He reached out a hand to check for himself, and Julian groaned at his touch. "That's the sound he made before." "It's still getting bigger," the woman whispered. "Do you think he's supposed to do the thing with the orifice now?" Julian gave a choked laugh, or as much of one as possible with the gag in his mouth. They both turned to look at him with wide eyes. The man's hand tightened. "I don't know," the man said again. "Oh, Bel, Dr. Takkadet is going to kill me." "And if she doesn't, I will," Julian thought. The man had resumed stroking him, but his grip was tight now, and his movements quicker. The rising pleasure was inescapable. With another groan, Julian thrust as hard as he could into the man's hand and came. Distantly, he heard the two aliens crying out in shocked dismay, but he no longer cared. He lay shuddering on the bed, riding out the aftershocks. He felt wonderful. --- When he opened his eyes, Garak stood next to the bed, watching him with an amused smile on his face. The aliens were, of course, gone. "Computer, eliminate restraints," Garak said. Immediately, the bindings holding Julian in place vanished. Groaning, he levered himself up and removed the gag. Garak handed him a glass of water, and he took it gratefully; the gag always made his throat tighten. He drank it down and said, "Thanks, that's much better." "You're welcome," Garak said, taking the glass and setting it on a medical supply cart. He looked slowly around the alien hospital room. "I must say, Julian, your fantasy life is a great deal more perverse than I imagined when I first approached you," he said. "Had I known, I would have been much more persistent in my early attempts at seduction." Julian glared at him, rubbing at one wrist. "Mine isn't one-tenth as perverse as yours," he retorted. "None of my fantasies involved Commander Sisko and a snake." "I don't recall you objecting," Garak said mildly. "In fact, you offered a number of inventive additions to that little scenario. The bells were your idea, I believe." Julian flushed and looked away. The bells had indeed been his idea. Even now, months later, he sometimes thought he heard their delicate tinkling when Sisko walked by. "Fine," he said crossly. "I'm perverse. Any other complaints?" Garak lifted an eye ridge. "That wasn't a complaint," he said. "That was a compliment. I'm surprised you can't tell the difference." "Telling me I have a perverse fantasy life is a compliment?" "Of course," Garak said. "Think about it. A perverse fantasy life requires creative thought. Would you actually prefer some other sort of fantasy life?" Julian thought about it. "No, I suppose not," he said eventually. "Even if this sort does include the occasional snake." "There, you see? For once, we are in complete agreement," Garak said, beaming. He gripped Julian around the waist and hauled him off the hospital bed. "And now, if you don't mind, I think it's time we moved on to the second third of today's activities." "Have I seen this one before?" Julian asked. "Parts of it," Garak admitted. "I don't believe you'll be bored, however." "Nothing that comes out of your head has ever bored me," Julian said, giving him a light kiss. "Frightened ten years off my life, yes. Bored, no." "If you didn't want to experience a little erotic horror, you shouldn't have taken up with a Cardassian," Garak said petulantly. "That wasn't a complaint, Elim," Julian said with a grin. "That was a compliment." Garak laughed and drew him into a kiss. A rather prolonged and thorough kiss. "Why, Julian," Garak murmured when he finally pulled away, "I do believe there's hope for you yet." --- The End
