The BLTS Archive - Climbing El Capitan by Isla (islaofhope@aol.com) --- This drabble is a sequel to my "Climbing Mt. Sileya." Feedback: Both negative and positive feedback is welcome. Disclaimer: All that is Star Trek belongs to Paramount. The rest of it - well, I just made it up. This is fan fiction, and I won't make any money from it. Thanks to my betas, Jat Sapphire and T'Aaneli, who inspired me by writing their wonderful drabbles. Apologies if I missed the whole point in my first drabble. -- Climbing El Capitan I told myself that I was here to compare El Capitan to Mt. Sileya. Perhaps to create a new memory in a place where we had spent so many golden days. I never before climbed El Capitan myself. Rather I watched as he attacked it. Intriguing to discover that it is so like him. Beautiful to behold, but dangerous to challenge. The toeholds and handholds are few and far between, but once the summit is reached, the reward is great. I did not expect to find him here. Nor did I expect that our sleeping bags would still zip together. --- The End
