Gods, how long has it been?

It seemed such as distorted view of the universe from this room.  He
stopped and considered for a moment how many fates had been altered by
the decisions made behind this glass.  Ages had passed since the last
time he'd seen the sun.  And he was so very tired of it all.

Tired of the bureaucracy, tired being molly-coddled, tired of the
endless parade of petty concerns voiced as if the Federation itself
depended upon the outcome.

At least he had that nice man with no hair to talk to every once in
awhile.
