"I hate... small places..., especially... Jefferies tubes!" Tom gasped.

"Lieutenant, you look horrible," Chakotay observed anxiously.

"I'll be... cured as soon as... the door is... unjammed," Tom panted.

"You're hyperventilating. Take deep breaths."

"I can't!" Tom wheezed. "I need... a distraction!"

Chakotay placed his hand on Tom's chest. "Feel my touch.... listen to
my voice.... look into my eyes...," he whispered soothingly.

"Mmmmmm," Tom responded as his breathing calmed.

"Feel my lips on yours," Chakotay murmured, capturing the pilot's
mouth in a passionate first kiss. "Better?"

"Much," Tom sighed, then hesitated. "But not perfect...."

"Do you need more distraction?"

"Absolutely...."
