  1. Name or Screen Name ?
Helen Stagie Karidi or just Stagie.

  2. A brief bio? Male/Female? Age? Career? Where is home? Married?
Female, 25 and something, home is Patras city Greece, work is web designer and not I'm not married (thank god).

  3. How did the idea for the season start? How did you become an exec member?
Errrr, I started it? :) No honest I did. Or rather I was challenged by Alyjude. And WoD came to my help.

  4. Why did you agree to become a member and does your shrink know ?
<g>I am the shrink in here!! :) And when Alyjude whines I cannot resist <g>

  5. Has being involved with the SVS changed your view of the fandom?
    Not really.

  6. Did you believe it would actually happen ?
I was a member of the first try for a Slash Virtual Season and that didn't work (I still don't know why though), but since then I often found myself wondering if someone could pull it off. Guess I was thinking too loud.

  7. What has been the easiest part of preparing for the season ?
Finding the person to write the first ep <g> Since she volunteered me to actually make the damn thing, she had to write the eps. I think that it was very easy to find people to contribute to this.

  8. What has been the hardest part of preparing for the season ?
Finding a plausible story line, splitting the responsibilities between us. Dealing with unxepected probs and authors becoming unavailable. And the graphics, gosh that was a nightmare.

  9. If you had it do over again would you ?
    Sadly, yes :)

  10. Do you have a web page ? If so what is the URL ?
I maintain several fan pages as well as the Season pages
    Five Senses

  11. Do you have a favorite quote ? If so what and why ?
***The champions of world peace allow all ideas to flourish. The ones they don't like they bomb.****

I think it says everything by itself, said by a Greek reporter concerning the way Americans behaved during the war in Yugoslavia.

  12. A brief bibliography... please ?
Unless you want me to recite the content of my bookselves here......... :) Nothing important.

  13. Any thing else you would like to share ?
Yes, I want to know who was the weird who suggested that we do this!!! Am I really such a sucker? :)

  14. Email address ?
Write to Helen at stageira@squidge.org or stageria@slashcity.org

  1. Name or Screen Name ?
Christi in real life, Orange852 in the cyberbreeze.

  2. A brief bio? Male/Female? Age? Career? Where is home? Married?
Female, mistaken 7 times out of 10 for a man on the phone. Happily revisiting my 34th. I plan to start my birthdays going forward again next year.

Technical Support Specialist for a cellular phone carrier. Home is in Hollywood, FL, a couple of freeway exits south of Fort Lauderdale. (home and job title will change in the next 9 months.)

Single, no longer interested in couplehood. Two cats, Elmer & Veronica. He's a 10 year tuxedo cat, she is a one year old silver and gray pastel tortoiseshell. Both are American Shorthairs.

  3. How did the idea for the season start? How did you become an exec member?
I'm an addition to the excomm months after its genesis. I came into the season as a beta and got my clock cleaned on a regular basis by the REAL ones. Now I have a loud mouth and no hesitation about intrusively story-doctoring. I think I was asked to join excomm in lieu of being booted.

  4. Why did you agree to become a member and does your shrink know ?
Well, they SAID there wasn't going to be much more work involved than there was in beta-reading… :suspicious look:

I don't have a shrink. I don't know what happened to the shrink. Nobody saw me with the shrink, and nothing can be proved without evidence, right?

  5. Has being involved with the SVS changed your view of the fandom?
    Not really, no.

  6. Did you believe it would actually happen ?
Oh, yeah. There are some don't-take-no-for-an-answer people involved that left me in no doubt of the outcome

  7. What has been the easiest part of preparing for the season ?
All I have to do is read stuff. And make smart remarks. There's a hard part?

  8. What has been the hardest part of preparing for the season ?
Well, since you ask, hiding from certain members of the staff when behind schedule is damned near impossible.

  9. If you had it do over again would you ?

Absolutely! Especially the part with the squirrels…oops, we weren't supposed to mention that.

  10. Do you have a web page ? If so what is the URL ?
Still an orphan in the cyberbreeze.

  11. Do you have a favorite quote ? If so what and why ?
If I leave a sig file, it's usually some fairly outre incident attributed to my cats.

  12. A brief bibliography... please ?
Set in Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter universe:
Bit Part Bistro --13 parts of a WIP

    Sentinel Fandom:
Dropping In -12k of fluff and nonsense

  13. Any thing else you would like to share ?

  1. Name or Screen Name ?
Mre (rhymes with 'free' and 'brie' and... =)

  2. A brief bio? Male/Female? Age? Career? Where is home? Married?
    ++ See
    Beta Questionnaire ++

(Hey, I started working in the SVS as a beta! I answered that first!)

  3. How did the idea for the season start? How did you become an exec member?
Like Christi, I came into this Execomm gig late--mid February, actually and we're well into the season. I think someone posted a challenge that started the ball rolling. I was interested in a slash season and signed up immediately.

As for Execomming me, it all started the day I collected the LoCs of our readers and created the feedback files. Then I volunteered to fix the staff pages, then the danger guide, then the resources--before I knew it, I was FTPing templates into squidge and my fate was sealed.

  4. Why did you agree to become a member and does your shrink know ?
WoD asked ever so nicely if I'd agree and (gasp) I did!

As for my continued mental health, I'm on my own. But I do have a white beanie rat named Melchisedec (Melchy for short...) If this constitutes sanity then I'm way OK.

  5. Has being involved with the SVS changed your view of the fandom?
My views? No. But my involvement, hell yeah. I'm pretty much a lurker in all the fandoms I haunt.

  6. Did you believe it would actually happen ?
I saw the gen virtual seasons and enjoyed certain pieces there, but I was always hoping the slash VS would take off. Being more often than not a Johnny-come-lately to fandoms, I never realized I would actually be involved in creating it!

  7. What has been the easiest part of preparing for the season ?
Maintaining the feedback files. Those are pretty much cut-n-paste =)

  8. What has been the hardest part of preparing for the season ?
That FAQ... Phew! lots and LOTS of HTML tags.

  9. If you had it do over again would you ?
No question--yes. I've learned a lot from the people on this list and I'm very grateful for the chance to actually contribute to the fandom.

  10. Do you have a web page ? If so what is the URL ?
I used to maintain one but it got to be too much trouble. All my HTML energies go into the SVS nowadays, and I'm glad of the exercise.

  11. Do you have a favorite quote ? If so what and why ?
    ++ See Beta Questionnaire ++

  12. A brief bibliography... please ?
Three tiny pieces in the Phantom Menace fandom but nothing Sentinel yet.

  1. Name or Screen Name ?
    RDV

  2. A brief bio ? Male/Female ? Age ? Career ? Where is home ? Married ?
Female, 40 or so, Career - yes, but looking forward to retirement in a couple decades, Home - northeast NY, Married - No, I try to avoid areas that have natural disasters. Although, wine, a roaring fire, an ice storm, and a good looking guy -- I might be able to overcome my fear-based responses.

  3. How did the idea for the season start? How did you become an exec member?
Well, I hadn't seen a post on Saficdic in a bit, so I sent a test message asking people to ignore it. They didn't. So then I said, and I quote:

"Since you all are here <g>, especially the smart asses, I feel the need to further test you all..........

I always wished we could have had that slash virtual season. The two gen virtual seasons went really well, with most criticism being that the reader couldn't see Blair as a cop or felt they were Blair-centric at times. It seemed it was after the seasons were committed to their storyboard that people learned that Pet Fly had only intended the "Blair as cop" to go actually go a few episodes and there was other plans for him. Taking that bit of "canon in the making" news what would have been the best way to get Blair back into anthropologist/teacher mode and how many episodes would it take to get them to come to their senses about each other. Or do we already have that virtual season in fiction? Of all the fiction you've read that was post TSBBS, did one stand out as being the best scenario (could have been an episode) for what becomes of Blair?

Remember you are being graded. A virtual, honorary PhD goes to the person or people who actually agree to do the slash virtual season <g>..........."

In the end Helen, Wod, Aly and S'Belle got the honorary Ph.D. Me... I decided to come along for the ride!

  4. Why did you agree to become a member and does your shrink know ? <g>
Because I didn't know better? Don't have a shrink but Wod let's me whine to her.

  5. Has being involved with the SVS changed your view of the fandom?
Yes it has. It has given me pause to reflect on the fandom as a whole and the different types of social groups and lists that are active in it. I really want to start a discussion group just on the way this fandom works. I joined TS fandom a year before what I call the Great Campaign of '98. I first read gen then slash. The fans were phenomenal and powerful when directed. The fandom has grown greatly since then but I see the breakdown into smaller groups with more focused interests. The SVS season has sort of emphasized that the wonderful people are all still here, they are just spread out a little more.

  6. Did you believe it would actually happen ?
Well, there was an attempt by some good and talented TS slash fans to get a slash season started last year but it didn't work out. I really did think that the slash fandom was so strong and deep in talent that it could accomplish whatever the gen folks could. I was surprised when it didn't work out, so when we started the SVS this year I was concerned we might have some problems. But Wod, Aly, Helen and S'Belle know a lot of people who were interested and very talented. And we were pretty determined to have that fifth season written the way slashers would like to see it happen.

  7. What has been the easiest part of preparing for the season ?
Ideas. Ideas are always the easy part, it's when you start putting the details with the ideas that things start to get hard.

  8. What has been the hardest part of preparing for the season ?
Patience---apparently it really is a virtue.

  9. If you had it do over again would you ?
Me yes, but the others are the real workers. They are an intergral part to the SVS.

  10. Do you have a web page ? If so what is the URL ?
    NO

  11. Do you have a favorite quote ? If so what and why ?
Quote: "To strive, to seek, to find and not to yield." Why? Might have something to do with my life, might be something to do with my work. But the phrase has just always remained in my head and heart,....

  12. A brief bibliography... please ?
Sorry, just boring professional stuff, although I did author to well received Obsenads

  13. Any thing else you would like to share ?
    My bills?

  1. Name or Screen Name ?
    Winds-of-Dawn

  2. A brief bio ? Male/Female ? Age ? Career ? Where is home? Married?
    Not giving out personal info.

  3. How did the idea for the season start? How did you become an exec member?
Well, Rosemary asked for a slash virtual season on SAFicDic, and Helen offered to do it, and I said I'll be the editor.

  4. Why did you agree to become a member and does your shrink know ? <g>
Temporary insanity. And no, I'm not telling my shrink, he'll have me committed, I'm sure. <g>

  5. Has being involved with the SVS changed your view of the fandom?
Not so much changed my view, as given me an opportunity to see fans interacting with each other in a way I haven't seen before. 40 + people working together to create something. Maybe getting a zine together or preparing a con is like this, but I've never been involved in anything like this before, so it's all been very exciting for me.

  6. Did you believe it would actually happen ?
No, no way, no how. But I suppose if the Subway Series can happen, then so can a slash virtual season.

  7. What has been the easiest part of preparing for the season?
Getting people to sign up for it. :)))

  8. What has been the hardest part of preparing for the season?
Um... <small voice> writing my epy? lol

  9. If you had it do over again would you?
Ask me in another ten years.

  10. Do you have a web page? If so what is the URL?
    Winds-of-Dawn's:
    https://www.squidge.org/sentinelsites/wodindex-2.html

  11. Do you have a favorite quote ? If so what and why ?
    see writer's survey

  12. A brief bibliography... please ?
See writer's survey. Even better, visit my webpage, everything I've written is there.

  13. Any thing else you would like to share ?
To everyone working on the SVS: You're the greatest bunch of people I've ever had the pleasure of *not* meeting!
